3,000 Greenhouses Launched for Military Families in Abuja

In Abuja, a significant initiative was launched to boost agricultural prosperity and food security by unveiling 3,000 greenhouses aimed at benefiting families of military personnel. The program, announced by Dr. Faith Ech, is part of a broader empowerment initiative that also includes a scholarship scheme for 30,000 children of fallen military heroes.

This initiative recognizes the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces and aims to provide tangible support to their families. The greenhouses will enable families to adopt modern agricultural practices, allowing for year-round food production and sustainable income.

Additionally, the program plans to establish 3,000 palm plantations as long-term economic assets. Hussaina Akila Bangshika emphasized the need for psychological and emotional support for widows of fallen heroes, urging collaboration among government and civil society to establish dedicated trauma support centers.

Lieutenant Commander Ibrahim Babainna (Rtd) highlighted the importance of remembering and honoring the sacrifices of military personnel to inspire future generations.
