Growtech West Africa 2027 to Enhance Regional Food Security

Growtech West Africa 2027 is scheduled to occur from January 26-28, 2027, at the Landmark Centre in Lagos. This three-day event aims to strengthen food security in West Africa by modernizing agriculture and reducing dependence on food imports.

It is expected to attract 5,000 industry professionals, 100 exhibitors, and 50 international speakers from various sectors, including agriculture, livestock, aquaculture, and agri-tech. The event is organized by Informa and is critical as West Africa spends $50 billion annually on food imports amid rising population growth and climate change pressures.

Ahm Khalil, Director of Growtech Middle East, emphasized the region's pivotal moment in agricultural evolution, highlighting the need for investment and partnerships to enhance local food production capabilities. The exhibition will cover key areas such as seed technology, irrigation systems, and food processing, with discussions on reducing food import dependence and improving local production capacity.
