Gunmen Attack Angwan Rukuba Community in Jos, Plateau

On the evening of the attack, around 7:30 PM, gunmen invaded the Angwan Rukuba community in Jos, located in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants fired indiscriminately for several minutes, causing panic as residents fled in different directions to escape the gunfire.

Community sources confirmed at least six deaths, although the exact number of casualties remains uncertain as families continue to identify victims. Several others were reported injured.

Security operatives arrived at the scene around 8:45 PM, but the situation remained tense and disorganized. Local community leaders issued an urgent appeal to security agencies and the Plateau State Government for immediate intervention to protect civilians and restore calm.
