Governor Mutfwang Visits Jos North After Deadly Attack

On Sunday, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State visited Angwan Rukuba in Jos North Local Government Area, the site of a deadly attack that claimed several lives and left others injured. The governor expressed visible pain over the tragedy and commiserated with the bereaved families, assuring them that the perpetrators would be tracked down and brought to justice.

During his visit, Mutfwang announced that there would be no mass burial and that the state government would cover the full medical expenses for survivors currently receiving treatment in various hospitals. He urged residents, especially traditional and religious leaders, to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies.

Solomon Dalyop Mwantiri, president of the Berom Youth Moulder Association, described the attack as shocking and troubling, revealing that intelligence had indicated the movement of terrorist elements in the region. The attack heightened tensions in Jos North, prompting calls for a stronger security presence and proactive intelligence operations.
