Gunmen Kill 25 Cattle in Plateau Communities, Miyetti Allah Chairman Confirms

Gunmen killed 25 grazing cattle in two communities in the Fan District of Barkin Ladi local government area in Plateau State. The Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association Nigeria (MACBAN) in the state, Yusuf Babayo, confirmed the attacks, stating that the herders escaped unharmed.

The incidents occurred on separate days, with the attackers storming the grazing areas and shooting the cattle. Babayo described the attacks as devastating and accused members of the Berom ethnic group of launching the assaults.

Security agencies have been informed, and investigations are ongoing to address the situation.
