Benue Vigilante Allegedly Kills 70 Cows, 3 Rams, Fulani Herdsmen Lament Losses

The Benue chapter of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) reported the killing of 70 cows and 3 rams across the state, with one member missing in Ohimini local government area. Alhaji Ando Risku Mohammed, the MACBAN Benue chairman, accused the State Civil Protection Guard and local vigilante groups of the attacks on Fulani settlements.

The incidents included killings in Ohimini, Katsina Ala, and Guma local government areas. The ongoing clashes have raised tensions between Fulani herdsmen and local vigilantes, exacerbating the conflict in the region.
