HAI Applauds Tinubu's Upcoming UK State Visit

The Humanitarian Aid Initiative (HAI) praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's forthcoming state visit to the United Kingdom, scheduled for March 18, 2026. This visit, the first of its kind in nearly four decades, will take place at Windsor Castle, following an invitation from King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

HAI's Director of Press Communication, Ernest Omo, emphasized that the visit symbolizes Nigeria's growing recognition within the Commonwealth and reflects the UK's acknowledgment of Nigeria's pivotal role as Africa's largest economy. The visit aims to enhance diplomatic relations, trade, security, and cultural exchange.

President Tinubu is expected to highlight the contributions of the Nigerian diaspora in the UK and promote investment opportunities. HAI also noted the significance of recent economic reforms in Nigeria, including the removal of fuel subsidies and the establishment of a unified foreign exchange market, which have positively impacted the country's revenue and economic indicators.

The organization called for national consensus to support the administration's agenda.
