930 Kwara Pilgrims Arrive in Makkah for 2026 Hajj

On the 8th of October 2026, 930 pilgrims from Kwara State arrived in Makkah as part of the ongoing Hajj pilgrimage. The group, which departed Medina around 8 AM, was coordinated by Farouq Mahmood Abubakar.

Upon their arrival, the pilgrims were warmly received and provided with provisions, including food, drinks, and dates. The accommodations for the pilgrims are located at the Kwara State House in Makkah, which has a capacity to accommodate 1,317 pilgrims.

This movement is part of the larger transit of Nigerian pilgrims, with a total of 10,948 Nigerian pilgrims reported to have arrived in Makkah so far, ahead of the peak of the 2026 Hajj exercise. The pilgrims are expected to continue their spiritual activities in preparation for the major rites of Hajj.
