Kaduna State Begins Hajj Luggage Screening Process
The Kaduna State government has initiated the screening of luggage for pilgrims participating in the upcoming Hajj. This process began on Thursday night, as confirmed by Professor Muhammadu Mustapha Gwadab, the chairman of the luggage screening sub-committee.
A statement was issued on Sunday by Malam Ibraheem Musa, the chief press secretary to Governor Uba Sani. Professor Gwadab noted that the Kaduna State Pilgrim Agency has provided scales for weighing luggage at the screening site.
Each pilgrim is permitted to carry two bags, each weighing up to 23 kilograms, along with one hand luggage that must not exceed eight kilograms. He also warned that sharp objects and liquids are prohibited, and large quantities of perfume are not allowed on the aircraft.
The return flights for pilgrims are scheduled to commence on June 16, a day later than previously planned. Gwadab urged pilgrims to be patient and to pray for themselves and their families.
