Ogun Pilgrims Return via Historic Direct Flight from Saudi

Shamsideen Apelogun, the Amirul Hajj of Ogun State, commended the successful return of 345 pilgrims who arrived at the Gateway International Airport in Iperu Remo on Friday evening after performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia. This return was facilitated by a direct flight operated by Flyna, marking a historic first for Ogun State.

Governor Dapo Abiodun's visionary leadership was acknowledged for making this direct airlift possible. Apelogun expressed gratitude towards the governor for his unwavering support and commitment to ensuring the success of the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.

Throughout the pilgrimage, Governor Abiodun was notably present, ensuring the welfare of the pilgrims in Medina and Makkah. The Ogun State Muslim Welfare Board, led by various officials including Sheik Olohungbeb and Sheik Lawal Isikil, was recognized for their contributions.

Apelogun urged pilgrims to maintain discipline and patience during their spiritual journey, highlighting Ogun State's commendable behavior among Hajj stakeholders.
