Kaduna Leaders Urge Pilgrims to Pray for Nigeria's Peace

Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, and Emir Ahmad Nuhu Bamal have called on pilgrims to pray for the peace and security of Nigeria as they prepare for the 2026 Hajj in Saudi Arabia. This charge was made during the flag-off ceremony at the Hajj transit camp in Kaduna.

Deputy Governor Hadiza Balarab announced that the state government has taken necessary measures to ensure a smooth and comfortable pilgrimage experience. Renovations at the Hajj camp include improvements to welfare facilities, such as a large hall, ventilated restrooms, a clinic, and new shops.

Balarab also mentioned that buses will be provided to assist pilgrims in their transportation to the airport. She emphasized the importance of pilgrims conducting themselves responsibly in Saudi Arabia to maintain the reputation of Kaduna State and Nigeria.

Emir Bamal cautioned against carrying prohibited items and urged vigilance at the airport. Abubakar Salihu, chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrim Welfare Agency, commended the government's support in upgrading the Hajj camp facilities.
