Hamzat Cleared for APC Governorship Primary in Lagos

Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the current Deputy Governor of Lagos State, has received approval from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship screening committee to participate in the party's upcoming governorship primary, scheduled for the 2027 elections. Hamzat appeared before the screening committee in Abuja over the weekend, where he described the screening process as thorough, transparent, and consistent with democratic principles.

He noted that the committee carefully reviewed his submitted documents and sought clarification on aspects of his public service record and professional experience. During the session, committee members asked questions regarding his role in governance over the years.
