Sanwo-Olu Endorses Hamzat for 2027 Lagos Governorship

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the current Governor of Lagos State, has endorsed Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, as his preferred successor for the upcoming 2027 governorship election. This endorsement was made during a closed-door meeting at the Lagos House in Marina.

Hamzat declared his intent to contest for the governorship position and expressed appreciation for Sanwo-Olu's confidence in his capabilities and leadership experience. Sanwo-Olu described Hamzat as capable and experienced, expressing his confidence in Hamzat's ability to lead Lagos effectively.

Following the endorsement, Hamzat took to his Facebook account to share his gratitude and reaffirm his commitment to continue working towards building a better Lagos.
