Anglican Bishop Ndukuba Urges Hope Amid Hardship

During the first session of the 13th Synod of the Diocese of Abuja, held at St. James Anglican Church Asokoro on Thursday evening, Dr.

Henri Ndukuba, the Anglican Archbishop of Abuja, encouraged Nigerians not to despair in the face of worsening economic hardship, insecurity, poverty, and hunger. He expressed confidence that better days are ahead and called on Christians to remain steadfast in their faith, becoming instruments of hope and service in society.

Ndukuba highlighted the necessity for the church to engage actively in addressing societal issues and to rely on prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The synod marks the beginning of a new three-year cycle for church administration, where various church officials will be elected and appointed.

Godknows Igali, a former Nigerian envoy, noted the significance of the synod as a major gathering of the church, attracting 600 delegates from across the country to deliberate on the church's relevance in society.
