Nigerian Activist Harrison Gwamnishu Receives Prayers After Release from Police Custody

Nigerian human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu was seen receiving fervent prayers in a church after his release from police custody. The incident stemmed from allegations of Gwamnishu diverting a ransom payment of 5.4 million meant for a kidnapped couple.

Gwamnishu voluntarily presented himself for investigation and was formally arrested during his time in custody. The activist claimed to have played a supportive role in the release of four individuals held without cause.

Controversy arose as allegations of extortion and misconduct were leveled against Gwamnishu by various individuals.
