Hayatu-Deen Joins ADC, Advocates for Democratic Reform

Former presidential aspirant Moham Hayatu-Deen has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), citing worsening economic hardship and a decline in Nigeria's democratic space as key motivators for his decision. In a statement released on Sunday by his media office, Hayatu-Deen expressed deep concern over the rising cost of living and the increasing insecurity in Nigeria.

He described the current state of democracy in the country as alarming, noting that citizens are eager for a government that prioritizes addressing fundamental issues such as job creation and reducing living costs. Hayatu-Deen warned that the democratic space is shrinking, with credible opposition voices being stifled, which he believes undermines the political process.

He emphasized that the ADC offers a credible alternative to the current political landscape and pledged to campaign actively for the party leading up to the 2027 elections, stating his commitment to help ADC win elections and deliver a better future for Nigeria.
