Olasco Films Denies Okunnu's Payment Allegations

Akeem Olatunji Balogun, known for his work with Olasco Films, responded to allegations made by actor Okunnu (Austin Emmanuel) during an interview on February 17, 2026. Okunnu claimed that Balogun had withheld payment for a film project produced approximately 16 years ago and stated he had not forgiven Balogun for this.

In his defense, Balogun asserted that he had indeed paid Okunnu ₦2 million for the project, which he noted had production costs ranging from ₦700,000 to ₦1 million. Balogun criticized Okunnu's actions, likening them to a blind man discarding a walking stick in an attempt to regain sight.

Additionally, Austin Emmanuel accused Balogun of being associated with Toymax Films, which he claimed was responsible for his absence from the screen in recent years. Balogun denied any involvement in Emmanuel's career trajectory and stated that he had contributed to Emmanuel's recognition in the film industry.

Neither Okunnu nor Austin Emmanuel provided further comments on Balogun's remarks.
