Health Sector: FG’s Collective Bargaining Agreements Committee Timely, Says Pharmacists

The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) has praised the federal government for establishing a Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) committee in the health sector. The committee aims to address longstanding issues among trade unions in the sector, which recently reached a boiling point.

According to the PSN, this initiative is timely and logical, as it will effectively address grievances related to the overbearing influence of physicians and oppressive domination in the health sector. The President of the PSN, Ayuba Ibrahim Tanko, commended the government for taking this step and setting up the committee.

The health sector has been experiencing tensions in recent weeks, with various unions issuing strike ultimatums and warnings. The establishment of the CBAs committee is seen as a positive step towards resolving these issues.
