Heirs Energy Launches Digital Monitoring Center at OML 17

Heirs Energy has deployed a real-time digital monitoring center at OML 17, marking a significant milestone in its joint venture with Redtech. The center is designed to transform upstream asset monitoring and management, optimizing operations through integrated technology.

Osa Igiehon, CEO of Heirs Energy, stated that this initiative will improve operational efficiency and enable quicker decision-making by providing real-time visibility into operations. The integrated operational monitoring center will support proactive decision-making and enhance asset management while reinforcing security measures against intrusions.

Emmanuel Ojo, CEO of Redtech, emphasized the value of technology in addressing operational challenges and improving business outcomes. Since assuming operatorship of OML 17 in 2021, Heirs Energy has aimed to increase oil production to 50,000 barrels per day and expand domestic gas supply to 135 million standard cubic feet per day.

The monitoring center represents the next phase in embedding digital capabilities into field operations.
