Heirs Energy and Redtech Launch OML 17 Digital Center

Heirs Energy and Redtech officially launched a digital operations center for OML 17 in Port Harcourt, marking a significant milestone in their joint venture's digital transformation strategy. The Integrated Operations Monitoring Centre (IOMC) is designed to enhance operational efficiency and improve asset monitoring by consolidating operational information into a unified platform.

Osa Igiehon, Chief Executive Officer of Heirs Energy, described the facility as a crucial step in leveraging technology to improve upstream operations, enabling quicker decision-making and enhanced collaboration. Emmanuel Ojo, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Redtech, emphasized the project's role in demonstrating how technology can create measurable business value across Africa's energy sector.

Heirs Energy, which assumed operatorship of OML 17 in 2021, aims to increase crude oil production to 50,000 barrels per day and expand domestic gas supply to 135 million standard cubic feet per day, thereby improving operational reliability across its assets.
