Firms Warn Against Counterfeit Menofix Herbal Capsules

Pure Eve Ltd and GuduGudu Herbal Worldwide Enterprise issued a warning to consumers regarding counterfeit versions of their herbal product, Menofix, which are currently circulating in the market. In a joint statement signed by Peter Oriri, Head of Corporate Communications, the companies clarified that the officially approved name of the product is "Menofix Herbal Capsule," and they will no longer refer to it simply as "Menofix." The product is registered and certified by NAFDAC under registration number A7-103321L, issued to Pure Eve, the manufacturer, GuduGudu Herbal Worldwide Enterprise.

Oriri expressed gratitude to NAFDAC for its support and public awareness efforts, particularly through social media posts that highlighted the counterfeit issue. The companies have engaged with the leadership of the Idumota open drug market in Lagos to curb the distribution of these counterfeit products.

They plan to introduce a verification sticker on their products to help consumers authenticate them.
