NELFUND Disburses N116 Billion to 1 Million Student Loan Applicants in Nigeria

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has achieved a historic milestone by disbursing N116 billion to over 1 million student loan applicants in Nigeria. Launched under the Tinubu administration, the program aims to remove financial barriers to tertiary education and equip young Nigerians with the skills needed for the modern economy.

The Director of Strategic Communications, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, highlighted the far-reaching impact of the initiative in promoting social empowerment and restoring confidence in pursuing higher education. Akintunde Sawyerr, the Managing Director and CEO of NELFUND, emphasized the commitment to ensuring seamless access for eligible students, regardless of their location or socioeconomic status.
