Hoodlums Rape and Murder 60-Year-Old Woman in Lagos

Victoria Adegok, a 60-year-old woman, was discovered dead in a bush in the Ilogbo Eremi area of Badagry, Lagos State, on Friday around 6:10 AM. Sources indicate she was ambushed by hoodlums while returning home from a church program at Ayo Jesu Church.

Adegok, who was reportedly living with a sibling near the church, had attended a program four days prior. The assailants allegedly stripped her of her clothing, including her underwear, and strangled her.

Items such as her phone, ATM card, and Bible were found at the scene. Community members expressed shock at the brutality of the crime, noting that Adegok was a grandmother.

The Lagos State Police Command, represented by CSP Abimbola Adebisi, was informed of the incident, and local residents have requested anonymity due to fear of further attacks. This incident marks the fourth reported case of violent crime in the area, which is notorious for such activities.
