Ogoloma and Koniama Indigenes Praise Oil Sector Prosperity Initiative

Indigenes of Ogoloma and Koniama communities in River State praised the federal government for requiring oil companies to set up Host Community Development Trusts (HCDTs) under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA). The HCDTs aim to ensure mutual prosperity and harmonious interactions between stakeholders in the oil and gas sector.

Representatives from Petralon 54, a subsidiary of Petralon Energy, were commended for their commitment to community development. The HCDTs are seen as platforms for empowering local communities and fostering sustainable growth.
