Nigeria Hotel Association Laments Government Neglect Amid Pandemic Crisis

The Nigeria Hotel Association (NHA) expressed dismay over years of government neglect and lack of support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Highness Eze Patrick Anyanwu, the National President of NHA, highlighted the challenges faced by the hotel industry, emphasizing the need for policies to promote growth and sustainability.

The NHA called on members nationwide to contribute towards registration and personnel training under the National Institute of Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR). However, there was a protest against the registration process by the Nigeria Tourism Development Authority (NTDA), leading to its suspension.

The hotel industry plays a crucial role in Nigeria's economy by creating jobs, generating revenue, and accommodating visitors.
