Osimhen Shares Experience of Entitlement from Friend

Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian forward and Super Eagles striker, recounted an experience involving financial support to a childhood friend, which turned into a source of stress. Osimhen regularly sent money to this friend, who later requested financial assistance to start a business.

In response, Osimhen sent $5,000, but was disappointed by the friend's reaction, which included an expectation for a larger sum. The friend, having learned of Osimhen's earnings as a professional footballer, reportedly expected $50,000 and expressed anger over the amount sent.

Osimhen noted that while $5,000 may seem modest in Europe, it represents a significant amount in Nigeria, reflecting his early struggles. He emphasized the importance of appreciating any gift received, rather than feeling entitled to more.
