APC Chieftain Barr Ginsau Dies in Abuja Hotel Accident

Barr Abdulsalami Ginsau, recently elected as the Assistant Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, tragically fell into an elevator shaft at a hotel in the Utako area of Abuja. The incident happened around 6:30 AM on Friday when Ginsau, unaware of the lift malfunction, stepped into the elevator shaft after exiting the third floor.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the hotel was overwhelmed with delegates, with approximately 2,000 people present, and the lift was reportedly overcrowded with 12 to 14 individuals at a time. Two young men loitering in the hallway witnessed the fall and raised the alarm.

The hotel management expressed regret over the incident and stated that they would review operational guidelines to prevent future occurrences. The police are conducting an investigation into the matter, and the Kano State government has extended condolences to Ginsau's family.
