Gunmen Attack Chris Ngige's Convoy in Anambra, Leaving Casualties

Former Governor and Senator Chris Ngige survived a violent attack on his convoy in Anambra, where gunmen dressed in police and military uniforms opened fire, killing a woman and injuring several others. Ngige's convoy leader and a shop owner sustained gunshot wounds.

The incident occurred during Ngige's visit to his hometown in Alor, Idemili South Local Government Area. The attackers, suspected to be political thugs, fled the scene.

Ngige expressed uncertainty about being the target and dismissed rumors of his death. Abubakar Malami, a former Attorney General, was previously attacked in a similar manner in Kebbi State.
