Witness Testifies in Court About Transferring ₦1.6 Billion on Emefiele's Orders

In a legal proceeding at the Federal High Court in Abuja, a witness named Richard Agulu testified about transferring ₦1.6 billion as per instructions from former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele. Emefiele is facing charges related to alleged cash transactions and bank transfers totaling ₦7.83 billion.

Agulu, a former Zenith Bank staff member, detailed multiple transactions involving large cash deposits and transfers on behalf of Emefiele between 2020 and 2022. The witness provided evidence of funds being transferred to specific accounts, including those of companies linked to Emefiele.
