Nigeria's Revenue Inflows Surge to N23 Trillion in 2025 Due to Tax Reforms

In 2025, the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Moham Shehu, revealed that Nigeria's Federation Account experienced a growth in revenue inflows to N23 trillion, a substantial increase from N11.93 trillion in 2023 and N21.43 trillion in 2024.

This growth was credited to fiscal reforms, improved revenue coordination, stronger audits, and enhanced compliance mechanisms. The Nigeria Tax Act 2025 played a pivotal role in this revenue growth, with the Chairman of the Tax Reform Committee, Professor Taiwo Oyedel, emphasizing the need to streamline tax levies for operational efficiency.

Dr. Jani Ibrahim of NACCIMA commended the reforms as a significant step towards revenue mobilization and fiscal sustainability in Nigeria.
