Kaduna Leads Hajj Reforms with NAHCON's Commendation

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has praised Kaduna State for its proactive reforms in hajj operations, highlighting the strong support from Governor Uba Sani. During an inspection visit led by Sheikh Muhammad Bin Othman, the North West Zonal Commissioner, it was noted that Kaduna's progress is attributed to the governor's commitment to improving hajj operations.

The Kaduna State Pilgrim Welfare Agency has undertaken significant projects, including the construction of a modern reception hall, an ultra-modern market, and an ICT center, as well as the rehabilitation of the hajj transit camp in Mando, in preparation for the 2026 hajj. NAHCON urged other state governments to emulate Kaduna's model to enhance the welfare of pilgrims nationwide.

The delegation acknowledged various interventions by the state government, such as the construction of access roads, installation of solar-powered streetlights, and other infrastructure improvements that facilitate a smoother hajj experience.
