Skit Maker Baami's N30,000 Loan Crisis Explained

Samuel Adegbeyi, a popular TikTok skit maker known as Baami, recounted a challenging experience stemming from a N30,000 loan he took to support his ex-girlfriend's business while he was still in school. He explained that he genuinely loved her and wanted to help her financially.

However, after sending the money, her attitude towards him changed drastically. As the repayment deadline approached, Baami struggled to repay the loan, leading to accumulating interest that caused the debt to swell to over N300,000.

To manage this growing debt, he began borrowing from other loan apps, which trapped him in a cycle of debt. The ordeal left him financially and emotionally drained for almost a year, during which he relied on a friend for basic needs.

Baami described this period as one of the most difficult times in his life, stating he survived only by God's grace.
