Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson disclosed during an episode of the MENtality podcast that he once borrowed money to sustain his extravagant lifestyle. He admitted to spending excessively on fashion and luxury items, including a collection of about 150 perfumes.

Egbuson recognized that true happiness is more significant than the pressure to acquire the latest luxury goods. He expressed regret over the money spent on perfumes, stating it could have been better invested in real estate, such as purchasing land.

Egbuson shared his journey of self-discovery, noting that despite experiencing financial difficulties, he maintained a positive outlook. He encouraged others to reflect on their motivations for material possessions, questioning whether they seek them for personal satisfaction or due to peer pressure.

Egbuson concluded that he no longer lives a "fake life" or borrows to impress others.
