Police Help 15-Year-Old Photographer Return to School

Ridwan Bolaji, a 15-year-old boy from Abeokuta, Ogun State, is poised to return to school after being out of education for over three years due to financial constraints. He completed his primary education at Ijaye Community Nursery and Primary School in July 2023 but could not afford secondary school fees.

Initially, he attempted barbering training but later took up photography at Olumo Rock to support himself. His situation came to the attention of Oluseyi Babaseyi, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, during the 2026 Annual Week of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) event, where Ridwan volunteered as a photographer.

Moved by his circumstances, Babaseyi pledged to support Ridwan's education, which led to a collective effort involving various stakeholders. Donations included N200,000 from the National Safe School Club Project and contributions from PCRC leadership totaling N250,000.

Ridwan's mother expressed immense gratitude upon learning of the support, marking a significant opportunity for her son to continue his education.
