Charles Soludo Wins Anambra Governorship Election Across 21 LGAs

Charles Chukwuma Soludo, a 65-year-old professor and APGA candidate, secured a resounding victory in the Anambra Governorship Election held on November 8, 2025. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared Soludo the winner with 422,664 votes, surpassing his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the APC, who garnered 99,445 votes.

Soludo's victory spanned across all 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Anambra State, solidifying APGA's political dominance in the region. The election saw other candidates like Paul Chukwuma of YPP, Georg Moghalu of LP, John Nwosu of ADC, and Jude Ezenwafor of PDP, but Soludo emerged as the clear winner.

INEC disclosed that out of 2,788,864 registered voters, 595,298 votes were cast, with 584,054 deemed valid. Soludo's landslide victory further cements his position as a leading political figure in Anambra and strengthens APGA's legacy as the state's primary political party.
