Twin Doctors Hadiyah and Aidah Usman Die Within Days

Dr. Hadiyah Usman and Dr. Aidah Usman, both aged 28 and medical professionals, died within 48 hours of each other after suffering simultaneous sickle cell crises in separate hospitals. They were the daughters of Professor Hadiza Abdullahi Usman, Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Nguru, and Professor Usman Abdullahi, a senior consultant.
Hadiyah was admitted to the hospital and died on a Friday, with funeral prayers held the same day at the emir's palace in Nguru. Aidah, who was also experiencing a crisis, was receiving treatment at a different facility.
After recovering, she traveled to Nguru to be with her family and expressed a desire to visit Hadiyah's grave. Despite her mother's concerns, Aidah visited the graveside and soon after became weak, fainting and subsequently passing away in the Intensive Care Unit on Sunday around 4:10 p.m.
Their uncle, Ibrahim Hasbunallah, recounted the tragic events, noting the close bond the twins shared throughout their lives.
