Spyro Rejects Generational Wealth for Children in New Interview

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Spyro has recently resurfaced in the media following a clip from an older interview where he articulated his stance against leaving wealth for his children. He stated, "I don't support leaving money down for children because after I’m gone, I don't know what they'll do with it." Spyro elaborated on the unpredictability of financial success in the music industry, revealing that some of his songs have cost up to ₦100 million to produce but still underperformed.

He noted that the most he has spent on a single music video is about ₦50 million. Additionally, Spyro acknowledged a disconnect between his public persona as a devout Christian and the content of his music, admitting that much of his work is not something he would want his children to view.
