Peter Obi Denies Bwala's Recruitment Allegations

Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate for the Labour Party, issued a statement in Abuja on Friday, dismissing allegations made by Daniel Bwala, a special adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Bwala claimed that Obi attempted to recruit him for the 2023 presidential campaign, which Obi described as an "unworthy response" and "baseless accusations." He clarified that he does not engage in transactional politics and has never asked Bwala to join his campaign.

Obi stated that his political approach focuses on sustainable practices and the betterment of society, rather than political deals. He urged Bwala to repent from his alleged greed and join the quest for a new Nigeria.

The allegations also referenced a meeting in London involving former President Olusegun Obasanjo, where Bwala claimed Obi sought support. However, Obi's team has denied these claims, emphasizing their commitment to integrity in politics.
