Kadijah Reacts to Bashir El-Rufai's Mocking Tweet

Kadijah, the wife of the missing lecturer Dadiyata, reacted emotionally to a tweet by Bashir El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, which mocked her husband's disappearance. In a video interview released by Reno Omokri, Kadijah described the tweet as deeply hurtful, expressing her immense emotional pain regarding Dadiyata's abduction on August 2, 2019, by unidentified armed men in Kaduna State.

She witnessed the incident from her window as gunmen intercepted Dadiyata's car. The case has sparked widespread outrage and accusations against the Kaduna State government, with many alleging complicity in the disappearance.

During an interview on Arise TV on February 14, 2026, Bashir El-Rufai maintained that Dadiyata was not a critic of the Kaduna State government but rather a vocal critic of former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje. Kadijah expressed hope for her husband's safe return and emphasized the emotional toll of the past four months since his disappearance.
