Nigerian Singer Nanyah Dies After Snake Bite at Home, Brother Highlights Healthcare System Failures

Ifunanya Nwangene, popularly known as Nanyah, passed away following a snake bite at her home in Abuja. Her brother, Kingsley Nwangene, shared the heartbreaking account of her last moments, revealing the difficulties they faced in getting prompt and adequate medical treatment.

Despite efforts to transport her to different hospitals, including a private facility in Lugbe, Abuja, where she was reportedly informed that there was no anti-venom available, Nanyah's condition deteriorated rapidly. She eventually succumbed to the snake bite, with her brother expressing frustration over the delayed and inadequate medical care she received.

Kingsley Nwangene emphasized that his sister sought help early and blamed her tragic death on the lack of proper treatment and the challenges within the healthcare system.
