Uba Sani Declares No Anointed Candidates for APC Primaries

On Tuesday night, Kaduna Governor Uba Sani announced that he does not have any anointed candidates ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries scheduled for April and May 2024. He made this disclosure while breaking his Ramadan fast with members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, stressing that he will not interfere in the selection of the APC flag bearer.

Sani advised all aspirants to seek support from party members and warned that any aspirants who lose the primaries should remain loyal to the party. He emphasized that working against the APC would be counterproductive, recalling previous experiences during past APC congresses.

Furthermore, Sani expressed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's candidacy for re-election in 2027 and urged party members to resist temptations that could undermine the party's unity, especially in light of security challenges that could be exploited by the opposition. He also highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects in Kaduna State, including the construction of a 35-kilometer road to connect 62 farming communities.
