Nollywood Actress Omotund Ogundimu Reveals Cancer Battle

Veteran Nollywood actress Omotund Ogundimu disclosed her ongoing battle with cervical cancer during an interview on a podcast hosted by fellow actress Biola Adebayo. Ogundimu, who has spent 35 years in the Nollywood industry, revealed that she has been managing the disease largely alone, as many colleagues have turned their backs on her.

Diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2024, she has exhausted her financial resources for treatment and is appealing for support to continue her care. Ogundimu expressed that she resisted making her situation public for as long as possible but felt she had no other option left.

She also addressed her colleagues, asking for forgiveness for any offenses she may have caused in the past, stating that she has not always been treated fairly despite her long service in the industry. Additionally, she mentioned the financial burden of raising three children alone after her husband's death in 2012, which has been exacerbated by her illness.
