2Baba's Mother Defends Him Against Media Allegations

Rose Idibia, the mother of Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, known as 2Baba, has defended her son amid ongoing controversies surrounding his personal life. Since announcing his separation from actress Annie Macaulay in January 2025, 2Baba has faced significant media attention, particularly after publicly revealing his relationship with Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, in February 2025.

Despite various allegations, including reported disagreements with Osawaru, Mrs. Idibia expressed her confidence in her son's character, stating that he is aware of the truth about himself. In an interview with Vanguard, she noted that while the constant media scrutiny can be emotionally taxing, 2Baba's self-awareness has helped him remain focused.

She remarked on the false narratives propagated by the media, asserting that her son has endured much but continues to succeed in his music career, even if he is not extremely wealthy.
