Kingibe Addresses Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan's Suspension

Senator Ireti Kingibe, representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), addressed the suspension of Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan during an interview on Wednesday. Kingibe disclosed that she had not seen the report that prompted Akpoti-Uduaghan's suspension, as she was engaged in official duties when the report was handled.

She noted that three out of four members of the committee involved in the disciplinary action attended a tax reform retreat, which affected their ability to review the report. Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe expressed concerns about the transparency of the process, stating he had not seen the report either.

Kingibe's comments raise questions regarding the procedural integrity of the disciplinary actions taken against Akpoti-Uduaghan.
