Natasha Criticizes Sidelining in Senate Activities

Natasha, a lawmaker representing Kogi Central, voiced her frustration over being excluded from Senate activities, specifically during the budget defense committee sessions. She accused the committee chairman, Ireti Kingibe, of sidelining certain committee activities, which she believes reflects a broader issue of limited female representation in the Senate.

Natasha highlighted her concerns regarding the lack of unity and coordination among female senators, particularly in relation to the upcoming UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) event in New York. She stated that although she was informed about the invitation and was told to provide her passport for processing, she received a late response from the Ministry of Women Affairs, ultimately leading to her exclusion from attending the event.
