Akpabio Declares ADC 'Dead' Amid Defections

During a plenary session on Tuesday, Godswill Akpabio, a prominent political figure, expressed his belief that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is "dead" in light of recent defections. His remarks followed the announcement of Enyinnaya Abaribe's defection from the ADC to the Labour Party.

Akpabio noted that this was not an isolated incident, as several former presidential candidates, including Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, had also left the ADC for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC). He emphasized the need to compile a list of defectors to illustrate the trend of political movement away from the ADC, suggesting that such defections have become a regular occurrence in Nigerian politics.
