Ruggedman Reflects on Unmarried Life and Past Relationships

Michael Ugochukwu Stephens, known as Ruggedman, has shared insights into his unmarried status at the age of 52 during an interview with The Cable. He attributes his current situation to the demands of his music career, which began when Nigerian musicians faced significant challenges in establishing their names.

Ruggedman noted that while some of his colleagues, such as Innocent Idibia (2Baba), found partners who supported their careers, he was not as fortunate. He revealed that he was previously in a five-year relationship that he believed would culminate in marriage, but it ended due to an undisclosed incident.

Currently, Ruggedman is not in a relationship and has vowed never to have a child out of wedlock. He expressed that he does not believe it is too late for him to marry, stating, “As long as you are alive, it’s never too late to get married.”.
