Isbae U Reflects on Career Challenges Post-2022 Scandal

Adebayo Ridwan, popularly known as Isbae U, discussed the difficult period he experienced following a sex scandal in 2022 during an interview with Morayo Afolabi Brown. He revealed that the backlash was so severe that he doubted the continuation of his career.

Isbae U noted that former supporters turned critical, which made him realize the fickleness of public opinion. During this challenging time, he sought guidance from fellow skit maker Mr Macaroni, asking if the controversy signified the end of his career.

Instead of succumbing to despair, Isbae U decided to focus on enhancing his skills and becoming a better person. He also opted to limit the personal information he shared publicly while continuing to entertain his audience.

He stated, “2022 was a tough time for me... I focused on doing better, getting better at my craft and becoming a better person.”.
