Rhodes-Vivour Defends Defection to ADC After Informing Peter Obi

Rhodes-Vivour, a former Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos State, responded to criticisms after defecting to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from the Labour Party. He clarified that he had informed former Anambra State governor Peter Obi about his decision to switch parties.

Rhodes-Vivour emphasized that the move was made with Obi's knowledge and agreement, as part of a strategy to build a united opposition coalition. The defection event, which took place in Lagos State, was part of a broader effort to challenge the ruling Progressives Congress in the upcoming 2027 elections.
