IBEDC Announces Four-Day Blackout in Ibadan and Oyo State Due to Road Construction

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has declared a four-day blackout from January 5 to January 9, 2026, in 22 communities in Ibadan, Oyo State. This blackout is necessary due to ongoing road construction along Foodco Road in Idi Isin Axi, affecting IBEDC's electrical infrastructure in the area.

Affected areas include Alalubosa, Ogunlola Museum, and others. IBEDC assures customers of measures to ensure safety during the construction period and promises to restore normal power supply once the relocation exercise is complete.
